Ultra compact and powerful, Streamlight’s Strion LED rechargeable flashlight offers three microprocessor-controlled variable intensity modes, strobe mode and the latest in power LED technology. The combination of rechargeable batteries and high output from the C4 LED technology results in one of the lowest operating costs of any flashlight made.

This version of the Streamlight Strion LED flashlight (model 74301) comes with both AC and DC charge cords and one charger/holder. It offers five modes of operation–high, medium, and low plus strobe–with the following light output ratings:

• High: 10,000 candela (peak beam intensity), 160 lumens
• Medium: 5,000 candela (peak beam intensity), 80 lumens
• Low: 2,500 candela (peak beam intensity), 40 lumens

Its case is made of 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish, and it has a lens made of high-temperature Borofloat glass. Other features include an anti-roll head, multi-function rubber push-button tactical tail switch, and a grooved barrel that adapts to a long gun mount. This flashlight’s IPX4-rated design is water resistant. The Strion measures 5.9 inches long with a 0.95-inch barrel diameter and 1.25-inch head diameter, and it weighs 5.22 ounces with battery.

The clamp-style charge holder features a digital control circuit to prevent over-charging, and it fully recharges the flashlight’s lithium-ion battery in 3 hours (indicated by a blinking LED indicator on the charge base). The battery is rechargeable up to 500 times.

This limited lifetime warranty excludes abuse, batteries, chargers, switches and electronics. Rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches, and electronics have a two-year limited warranty with proof of purchase.

We searched reviews of the Streamlight 74301 Strion LED Flashlight online and found that the reviews are very positive. Streamlight has been around a long time and makes a good quality product. Users of older Stinger lights will love the LED model. At 160 lumens, it will blow away the older models.

Users liked the different light levels, the tailpiece button switch, the beam shape, the fast recharging speed and the strobe feature. some users commented on the excellent warranty service and stated that Streamlight stands behind their products.

Another reported “very satisfied with the product. Extremely bright, compact, well made, and rechargeable. Best flashlight I have in my home.”
